This may be related to a corrupted index file for the node. Can you
check if any of the index files are empty? They are located in the
data/node_name directories.

Yes, Andre had a similar problem at one point, though we never managed
to reproduce it. In his case some of the <node>/index files became
empty for some reason.
Is this happening with a brand new installation or did you migrate the
data from an earlier version of Sputnik? Or did your Sputnik suddenly
start throwing this error? Does this happen on all pages or just on
some pages.

Its a new installation!! its a problem only some pages, you can see the
error in http://www.giga.puc-rio.br/cgi-bin/sputnik.cgi?p=News, if you enter
in (Recent Wiki Edits, Edit by Recents Users and RSS Feed).
i test the installation in another computers and is the some problem!!!
The interesting, the problem in previous version dont do it!!!

Are you using this new sputnik with an old data directory? If you
have just installed Sputnik for the very first time following the
instructions on the Installation page, your "wiki-data" directory
should be empty. Is it?
If you already had an earlier version of Sputnik installed and are now
installing a new version, then your data may have to be converted.
So, what's in your "wiki-data" directory?
